A fundraiser has been set up to support the family of a young girl tragically killed in New Cumnock on Monday (September 18).

Naomi Sarah Ferrans sadly died on Monday after a collision with a tractor towing a trailer, whilst riding her bike along the Castle area on the town.

Emergency services attended, but the nine-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tight-knit community of New Cumnock was quick to pass on messages of condolence to Naomi's family.

Floral tributes were left by the dozen along the A76 Castle area in New Cumnock this week.

Now, a fundraiser has been set up by Pamela Mcskimming to help raise some money to help Naomi's family out.

The fundraiser reads: "Following the devastating tragedy that shook our wee town on Monday where a beautiful wee girl was sadly killed, I would like to raise some money to take the pressure off the family in this heartbreaking time for them.

"Fly high angel."

The fundraiser is already a quarter of a way to reaching its £1,000 target.
