This week, we're taking a look back just 10 years - to September 2013.
Who do you recognise in these pictures from the Cumnock Chronicle files?
Muirkirk-born farrier David Varini was hammering his way to victory and a $10,000 prize in the 2013 World Champion Blacksmith contest at the Calgary Stampede in Canada.
There was something for everyone at New Cumnock Parish Church’s Autumn Fair in 2013. The church raised a fantastic £1,300 on the day.
Gillian Davidson’s Dancers showed off their moves at the 2013 Muirkirk fun day.
It was one of the wettest, wildest and most miserable days of the year. But that didn’t stop the players and management from Cumnock Juniors taking part in September 2013’s road race. They were joined by Lugar Boswell and hundreds of others in the second year of the event.
Townhead Park had never looked better in September 2013. Green-fingered volunteers involved in the ‘Things To Dae project’ teamed up with Cumnock Juniors to spruce up the local ground.
Six young forestry trainees helped create a new woodland and car park in Dalmellington as part of a 2013 apprenticeship scheme. Tens of thousands of young trees were planted and the new car park built at the bottom of Dalmellington Cemetery by trainees taking park in an innovative scheme run by Forestry Commission Scotland.
