Glenafton Athletic have announced that manager Ryan Stevenson has left the club.

In a statement, the club said that the former Hearts and Ayr United player has resigned from his position.

Stevenson joined the Loch Park side in March 2022, and guided them safely away from relagation.

Glenafton have had a mixed start to the season, with Stevenson's last match coming in a 4-0 loss away to St Cadoc's, leaving the Glens in 13th position in the league and with the worst defensive record in the division.

A short Glens statement announcing Stevenson's departure said: "Glenafton Athletic can confirm that this morning manager Ryan Stevenson has resigned from his position as manager at the club.

"We would like to thank Ryan for his efforts during his time at the club, and would like to wish him well for the future.

"Under Ryan's management, he successfully led the club away from the brink of relegation after a long winning run, and he also led the club to the semi-final of the Scottish Junior Cup.

"We will provide further updates on our social media platforms, when we have anything else to announce."
