One of Ayrshire's cheapest properties is set to go up at auction in July.

The flat, on Main Street, Ochiltree, has been set with a guide price of £15,000.

The one-bedroom flat requires a full programme of refurbishment works but could be a great starter home or investment project for a local developer.

The accommodation of the flat includes an entrance with a stairway leading to a hallway, kitchen, bathroom, spacious living room and a bedroom on the attic floor.

The village is lined with charming single-storey cottages and has a small selection of amenities including a fish and chip shop, post office and convenience store, pharmacy, bowling club, primary school and community hub with café.

The flat at 5a Main Street, Ochiltree will be open to bids at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction at 2pm on July 20 at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.
