A MAUCHLINE couple have celebrated an incredible 60 years of happy marriage - and they welcomed some special visitors to help them mark the occasion.
William and Catherine Peebles recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary after tying the knot way back in 1963.
The happy couple receives a special visit from two of their local councillors - Alyson Simmons and East Ayrshire's depute provost Claire Leitch - to pass on the council's congratulations in person.
The two councillors handed over a bouquet of flowers as a gift from the local authority.
Also present at the celebration was East Ayrshire deputy lieutenant William Galbraith, who presented William and Catherine with a telegram from the King.
Pictured above are Deputy Lieutenant William Galbraith, Councillor Alyson Simmons, Catherine and William Peebles, and Depute Provost Claire Leitch.
Congratulations to the happy couple from all at the Chronicle!
