Ochiltree marked the historic coronation of the King on Saturday by throwing a fun day for all ages.

Among what was on offer included a barbecue, soft play and live screening of the crowning moment.

Almost 70 years on from the last royal coronation, the people of Ochiltree were keen to snap up the tickets for this event.Cumnock Chronicle: Ochiltree Community Hub celebrationsOchiltree Community Hub celebrations (Image: Charlie Gilmour)

As part of their work within the community, the hub team had been planning the sold out event for weeks, to make sure there was something on offer for everyone.

Everyone was in great spirits as they donned their best red, white and blue outfits to celebrate the coronation.

Jackie Anderson from the centre hopes that they can build on the success of the day and people will become more aware of what the centr has to offer.

Jackie said: "I thin things like this are grest for the village because it allows everyone to come together and celebrate.

"It also gives us the chance to get to know more people in the area and see people we haven't seen before.

"The more people that know we're here, the better.

"I don't know if some people maybe don't know about us or sometimes forget that we're here, but we're always trying to be present in the community and we hope this can be a great day".
