East Ayrshire Council marked International Workers’ Memorial Day last weekend.
The day is internationally recognised to remember workers killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work.

Representatives from East Ayrshire Council and local politicians marked the day by laying wreaths at the memorial tree in Dean Castle Country Park.
Provost Jim Todd joined fellow elected members, Alan Brown MP, Willie Coffey MSP and Arthur West, secretary of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Trades Union Council, to remember those who have been affected.
