A man has been arrested in connection with the supply of drugs after a Mauchline address was searched as part an East Ayrshire crackdown.

Police raided four homes across East Ayrshire, including one in Robert Burns Place, Mauchline, to target people suspected of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Two properties in Kilmarnock and one in Newmilns were also searched for drugs under the authority of Sheriff search warrants by the Pro-Active Crime Team and the Locality Policing teams.

Four other men were reported to the Procurator Fiscal for possessing controlled drugs.

Inspector Jen McCulloch, Local Policing Inspector for East Ayrshire, said, “As part of our ongoing East Ayrshire Easter Campaign, which launched on 31/3/23, yesterday saw a day of action where we focused on those who misuse drugs within our communities.

"We will continue to work alongside partners to tackle the misuse of drugs within the community, and I urge members of the community to contact us should they have any information that could assist us with this.“
