A new campaign has been launched across East Ayrshire in an attempt to limit crime across the area of the Easter weekend.
Launched last Friday (March 31), the 'Easter Campaign' will see Police, British Transport Police, East Ayrshire Council, Vibrant Communities, Elected Members, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and other partners working collaboratively to ensure a safe Easter holiday.
East Ayrshire Vibrant Communities have a programme of events running throughout Easter that is now live.

Upon the launch of the campaign, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The campaign will focus on ASB [anti-social behaviour], Drug Dealing and Drug Misuse while promoting Road Safety, and tackling Acquisitive Crime.
"Vibrant Communities have published a packed schedule of events available throughout the Easter Period. An increase of Youth Action Teams will also deploy along with the visibility of our ASB officers at EAC carrying out joint patrols with the Police.
"In the run-up to the Easter break, our campus officers delivered inputs on ‘No knives, Better Lives’ and fire-setting inputs in conjunction with our colleagues at SFRS.
