Former Manchester United player and assistant manager Mike Phelan passed on his wisdom to hundreds of aspiring coaches in Cumnock last night.
As part of a partnership with Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise (CJCE) and Sensible Soccer Ltd, over 130 coaches from across Ayrshire descended on Townhead Park to hear from Phelan and other coaches.

Mike Phelan was assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford for five years, before taking on the role again under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019.
After hearing from the Sensible Soccer team and learning about what they do, the coaches got to pick Phelan's brains with a question and answer session in the social club.

A CJCE spokesperson said: "We hosted 138 coaches from across Ayrshire at Townhead CSH with runners from Cumnock Juniors FC and Cumnock Juniors Youth under 18s assisting Mike in his session.
"Mike's experience from his playing career and as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson and Ole Gunner Solskjaer shone through.
"We then finished up with a Q&A with Mike in the Social Club.
"Thank you so much to Mike, Matt, Scott and Dave from Sensible Soccer. Thank you to Brian Sproul of the Scottish Youth FA. Thank you to the players for the great effort and high level they put into the session to help it flow.
"Thank you to the Cumnock Juniors Social Club, The Royal Hotel who hosted our guests, and lastly, thank you to all the coaches who attended".
