Cumnock's famous Townhead Strollers walking footballers have raised almost £2,000 to go towards dementia support.
The Strollers took on Dukla Pumpherston, who are a charity football team based in Scotland who travel around to raise money for vital causes.
Their name comes from fictional team "Dukla Pumpherston Sawmill and Tannery" created by Tony Roper in 1980s comedy programme Naked Radio.
The Strollers took on Dukla at Townhead Park on Saturday, to raise cash for the Marchburn Dementia Ward at Cumnock's East Ayrshire Community Hospital.
When asked who the eventual winner of the match was, Cumnock Juniors Community Enterprise's (CJCE) Derek King, who took part in the match, said: "Marchburn Ward".
All in, the match and day raised a brilliant £1,858 for the ward.
A CJCE spokesperson added: "With loads of prizes donated, raffle books sold and players paying to play in the match, the total will go a long way to help those in the ward.
"The money will aid physical, mental, social and creative activities that help with dementia and improve wellbeing. It will buy jigsaws, sensory aids and make a huge difference.
"Thank you to Dukla and all the strollers, referee Ricky Crowe, all those who donated prizes, bought raffles, provided sandwiches, home baking etc.
"Well done Jim Marshall of the Strollers who was a real driving force behind the event and put in a lot of hours."
