Former Glenafton Athletic and Ayr United midfielder scored one of the goals of the season at the weekend.
Now plying his trade with Falkirk, the ex-Glens loanee rifled a volley in from just inside his own half, during his side's 5-0 over Peterhead on Saturday.
New Cumnock and Ayr natives will remember McGuffie for having a flair for the spectacular, as his goal was the first of three for the player's first ever professional career hat-trick.
Falkirk are now pleading to make the goal a Puskás award contender, which is a FIFA-recognised award, celebrating the most spectacular goals across the world.
An obviously delighted McGuffie spoke to Falkirk TV after the match, describing the goal as possibly his best ever.
He said: "I have scored a few good goals over the years. I scored a good goal in the Scottish Cup for Ayr.
"But that's probably the best, I've got to say that."
