A PHOTOGRAPHER based in Auchinleck has snapped up the top regional prize at the prestigious Scottish Wedding Awards.

Robbie Muir of Pulze Photography came out on top in the South West category for a second time, seeing off some stellar competition in the process.

Present at the awards at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Tuesday, February 28 with wife Kirsty, Robbie said he's glad the couple were able to enjoy the award win this time, after the previous celebrations were cut short by Covid.

He said: "We are delighted to receive the regional award for Photographer of The Year at The Scottish Wedding Awards.

"This is our second time collecting the award, however the first time we received the award was a few weeks before lockdown and the excitement got lost.

"An award like this, especially being up against some of the best in Scotland, gives us great pride and shows us we must be doing something right.

"That's why we take great pride in our work and love every single wedding we do - we cannot thank all of our couples and followers for their votes as without them this wouldn’t be possible."

Robbie is also founder of Ayrshire men's mental health charity, Release.

The charity will be holding a free wellbeing seminar on Thursday, March 16 with Kev Brown (founder of Fit Ayrshire Dads). Release are paying and sponsoring the event - therefore it is free for the public.

Spaces must be booked in advance, with only 50 spots available.
