Rubbish dumpers left a Dalmellington lane having to be cleared after tipping out piles of old junk.
The lane opposite the Co-operative store on High Main Street was strewn with rubbish of all sorts, including what looked like some old furniture, bin bags and cardboard boxes.

Local councillor, Drew Filson, was one of the team to help clear the rubbish, piling it into the back of a van.
It was work that was very much appreciated by the Dalmellington natives.

One person said: "Thank you so much, Drew Filson. [The rubbish] was an absolute eyesore every time I walked out the front door."
Another, whose business is close by, added: "[I'm] so chuffed now. [It] was really embarrassing having people come to the studio having to see that."
