Islay Dog Rescue Centre are appealing for volunteering help from the public.
The centre, just outside Cumnock, had a great response over Christmas and New Year with many people spending their time off by taking the centre’s dogs out on long walks.
Now that the work routine has returned for many, though, the centre is in desperate need of volunteer dog walkers who are willing to help out on weekdays and in any weather.
