The search is on to find Cumnock's standout resident for the 2022 Citizen of the Year award.

The award seeks to recognise the great efforts an individual person, or a group or committee has gone to, to make Cumnock a more vibrant place.

Tony Esquierdo was the worthy recipient of the 2021 award, having worked as chairman of Cronberry, Logan and Lugar Community Council since 2018.

During his tenure, Tony has successfully gathered together all the various groups in that area enabling them to become a stronger organisation and to work together.
