FUNDING from an Ayrshire housing association has helped support Mauchline's Christmas lights efforts.
Mauchline Community Council benefitted from £1,000 of funding earlier this month following a donation from Cunninghame Housing Association.
This came as part of the assocation's 'Making Our Communities Better Places Fund'.
Mauchline Community Council oversees the activities of many community groups, organisations and activities.
The community council solely relies on donations and fundraising activities, not only for its own projects but for that of many in the community.
The group's most recent project was assisting with the preparation of displaying the Christmas lights and ensuring the ‘Christmas Lights Switch On’ goes to plan.
The funding provided by the housing association helped to fund the cost of the work involved in displaying these lights and their safe removal that will follow at the end of the season.
Lesley Keenan, Chairperson of CHA commented: “The association are delighted to be supporting the community of Mauchline by assisting with their Christmas light display, brightening up the town and spreading some festive cheer."
