A CUMNOCK school has been forced to close its doors due to sub-zero temperatures.
Netherthird Primary School issued the update today as temperatures reached as low as minus 6 degrees celsius in Cumnock.
The school has said that they have sent their students home due to lack of heating.
Netherthird Primary pupils are currently being taught in the old Greenmill Primary School building due to delays in completion of the new Netherthird Primary building on Craigens Road.
Earlier this week pupils at Logan Primary and Auchinleck Primary, and each school's associated early childhood centres, had to stay at home after water supply issues forced the temporary closure of both schools.
We are closing Netherthird Primary School as there is no heating in the school. Transport has been arranged for 11.30am. If any parent cannot meet the transport in Netherthird , please advise the school and we will keep the pupils in school until they can be collected.
