East Ayrshire is one of the most likely regions to have a white Christmas this year, according to new data.
Amid news that bookies have slashed odds on a white Christmas for the first time in 12 years, LotteryCritic.com have analysed the probability of snowfall in 363 districts to determine which UK region is most likely to have snow this Christmas.
Out of the top 10 regions, eight of them were in Scotland.
East Ayrshire has been ranked as being the ninth-most likely region in Scotland to experience snowfall this year.
According to the data, there is a 77.95 per cent per cent chance that East Ayrshire will have at least 0.1cm of snowfall.
The data also shows that the average snow depth in East Ayrshire between 2011-2020 is 0.0904 cm.
