A plot of land in Cumnock described as having 'huge possibilities' has been put up for sale.
Listed on Rightmove on behalf of 99Home LTD, covering Nationwide, the plot opposite the former Greenmill Primary School has an asking price of £55,000.

The listing says that planning permission was previously granted for a five-bedroom home on the site in 2006.

However, those plans were later scrapped, and the land next to Yipworld has remained vacant ever since.

The website report describes Cumnock as "one of Scotland's up and coming residential locations".

It adds: "The land is capable of supporting a smaller multi-unit development or a range of possibilities subject to the correct planning being obtained, and because of the positioning of the land in the town, this should be easy enough granted.

"The land enjoys an elevated view across the town and is partially enclosed by a brick and stone wall, therefore, affording real privacy.

"This is a significant piece of land in a sought-after part of Cumnock and will offer excellent scope for development.

"It is attractively priced for sale, and it is an excellent time to purchase an increasing asset at a sensible price. Water, electrical, and sewerage services are all to hand."
