East Ayrshire residents are being invited to choose which community health and wellbeing projects they think should receive a share of £250,000 in funding.

Five voting events will take place across East Ayrshire, where communities can meet the fund applicants and decide which projects will best support the needs of their area.

The events are part of East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership’s participatory budgeting process, Wellbeing for All, with funding available to community organisations providing health and social care services.

Over 60 projects are bidding for a share of the fund, ranging from breakfast clubs and community choirs to cancer support and addiction recovery services. The voting process allows resources to be prioritised in areas that really matter locally.

Voting events will take place at the following dates, times and venues:

Thursday, October 27 from 3-7pm: Howard Centre, Kilmarnock

Friday, October 28 from 2-6pm: Annick Centre, Stewarton and Darvel Town Hall

Friday, October 28 from 3-7pm: Cumnock Town Hall and Dalmellington Community Centre
