A SECURITY guard who called the police ‘pig b******s’ while flailing his arms at them was released from custody after being remanded for further drunken disorder.

David Dunsmore, 27, pleaded guilty to three complaints of threatening behaviour when he appeared from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court last week [Tuesday, September 13].

The Procurator Fiscal depute said: “At 6pm on July 2, 2020 police were asked to attend the locus [Keir Hardie Hill, Cumnock]. They received report from a male asking them to attend urgently.

“Police tried to gain entry and the accused attended the window. He shouted “get to f***” and that they weren’t getting in without a warrant.

“He continued shouting and swearing as a number of children walked past who appeared alarmed at his condition.

“Another allowed police entry when the accused appeared with his arms in the air shouting “pig b*******”.

“The shouting and swearing continued towards police officers.”

Describing the second incident in Hearth Road, Cumnock in January 9 this year, the fiscal depute continued: “Both witnesses were in their home addresses in the locus and observed the accused shouting and swearing in the park opposite their home address. Shouting and swearing at residents on the street,

“He continued acting aggressive. Police were contacted. The accused was arrested and charged and conveyed to Kilmarnock Police Office

“He was not formally cautioned and charged due to level of intoxication.”

Sheriff Siobhan Connelly said: “Mr Dunsmore, you have got a terrible record.

“If you breach the order in anyway the inevitable consequence is revoking the order.”

“You will be given supervision for 18 months with a requirement to attend addiction services.

“If it turns out you have not engaged if before me I will send you to prison. I hope this marks a way forward for you.”
