Two people were taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after a two-car crash on the Barony Road.
The incident happened at around 3.05pm on Sunday, September 18 on the road between Auchinleck and Ochiltree.
Police attended the scene and were diverting cars past the collision.
Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution, but it is believed that there were no major injuries in the incident.
One nearby resident believes it will be the latest in a long line of incidents on the road, and certainly doesn't think it will be the last.
They said: "How many times does something like this need to happen?
"I get tha nobody was seriously injured, but it's almost a couple of times a month that you hear about some incident on this road.
"I honestly don't know what the solution is, but something seriously needs to be done".
Speed bumps were installed on the road just before you enter Auchinleck, as a was to try and deter people from speeding along the road, in or out of the town.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “We were called around 3.05pm on Sunday, 18 September, to a report of a crash involving two cars on Barony Road, Auchinleck.
“Emergency services attended and two people were taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
