Fire crews were called to reports of a house fire in Auchinleck last night (August 7).
However, it turned out that the call was not as serious as first thought.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call about a fire on Old Avenue, Auchinleck last night at around 7.25pm.
Eye-witnesses claimed to have seen firefighters with ladders approaching the building.
However, SFRS have since confirmed that there were no signs of any smoke or fire coming from within the building in question.
A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.25pm on Sunday, August 7 to reports of a dwelling fire on Old Avenue, Auchinleck.
“Operations control mobilised two fire appliances.
“Firefighters checked the building and established that there was no sign of fire or smoke.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was safe.”
