Cumnock History Group’s ‘Ploughing Up Our Past’ exhibition is open until the end of August at the Baird Institute.
Co-created with East Ayrshire Leisure, the exhibition shows off the results of research into the history of 422 farms in the neighbouring parishes of Old Cumnock, New Cumnock, Auchinleck and Ochiltree.
Only 85 of the 422 are still operating as farms.
This project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage fund and supported by the Coalfield Communities Landscape Partnership and East Ayrshire Council.
Entry to the exhibition is free and it’s available until Saturday, August 27.
