A DIAMOND Patna couple have recently celebrated the incredible milestone of 60 years of marriage together.
Jean and James Whiteford tied the knot way back in 1962, and got some special visitors and gifts to commemorate the milestone.
Provost Jim Todd, Councillor Drew Filson and Deputy Lieutenant Marguerite Hunter Blair all visited the couple recently to pass on their congratulations.
The couple was presented with a basket of flowers on behalf of East Ayrshire Council.
Deputy Lieutenant Marguerite Hunter Blair also presented the couple with a telegram from the Queen.
