The Muirkirk Gala Day is scheduled to take place in September after two years away due to the Covid pandemic.

The Royal Party for the Gala Day cel;ebration were officially announced at Muirkirk Primary Scjhool last week

The Queen will be played by Erin Mullen (11/P7), King will be Jack Dempster (11/P7), Lady in Waiting is Skye Shaw (10/P6), Junior Lady in Waiting is Lexi Beck (8/P4), Page Boy Harry Nohar (10/P6) and the Junior Page Boy will be Charlie Bradford (9/P5).

Cheryl Shepherd, the Gala Chairperson told the Chronicle all about the plans for the festival’s return.

She said: “We are so excited to be back for 2022 and looking forward to all our events planned in our community.

“We are delighted to have our Gala Court back and cannot wait to celebrate with them.

“It’s been a few years since we held our Gala Day and gala events so looking forward to catching up with everyone in the community.”

The Gala Day is set to take place on September 24 at Kames Motorsport Complex starting at 12 noon.

Cheryl continued: “The gala committee is coming back bigger and better after our two years missed because of COVID with new rides, entertainment and fun for people of all ages.”

There will be plenty of events on the run up to the gala day for everyone to take part in.
