Work will begin on a major overhaul of a busy Ayrshire road interchange from tomorrow (Monday, June 27).

This programme of works at the Bellfield Interchance will combine two maintenance schemes along the A77:

  • Between Bellfield Interchange and Grassyards Junction;
  • Between Grassyards Junction and 150 metres north of the Borland overbridge.

Work will take place from Monday, June 27 until Friday, July 15, 2022 under various traffic management arrangements, including overnight closures and a contraflow system.

These schemes, with a combined value of £1.4 million, will benefit around 14,000 vehicles using this route each day, which links Glasgow and the Central Belt to Ayrshire’s coasts and ports.
