We’re being encouraged to put a Spring in our step and take part in a month-long campaign celebrating Scotland’s love of walking.

To celebrate National Walking month this May, Scotland’s national walking charity Paths for All is asking us to get out and about and share images and videos of our favourite walking routes to social media.

The aim of the initiative is to inspire more people to get active and enjoy the outdoors.

Each image and video shared using the hashtags #ILoveWalking and #NationalWalkingMonth will also be entered into a competition whereby the winner will be awarded a £500 voucher for clothing and footwear store Cotswold Outdoor.

Chief Executive Officer at Paths for All, Kevin Lafferty, said: “The power of a short daily walk has become even stronger over recent years so we hope members of the public will join in this fun celebration to share the joy of walking while uncovering places that are unique to them.
