Bernard Shepherd
A POPULAR supply teacher at Robert Burns Academy recently completed a series of 100 Katas at Sakai Karate Club in Kilmarnock.
Bernard Shepherd was joined by some 60 others in this challenge who were raising funds for the club to help send members to various events and competitions throughout Britain and beyond.
Mr Shepherd was, however raising funds for Alzheimer Scotland and was in fact attempting 75 Katas to coincide with his age – but he chose to eventually complete 100 Katas.
