East Ayrshire Council have asked residents not to put their recycling trolleys outside for collection in the next few days.
They say their waste collectors will pick the rubbish up next week instead.
Storms Dudley and Eunice are set to bring wind gusts of up to 90mph over the next few days and so to prevent rubbish flying all over our neighbourhoods, the council have advised you keep your recycling in a safe place.
The local authority shared the following post on Facebook yesterday afternoon: "Due to the predicted stormy weather and high winds, please don’t put your recycling trolley out for collection over the next few days - we will collect it the following week along with any excess recycling. We appreciate your patience and understanding."
