AUCHINLECK’S community garden project is looking forward to hosting more events in the new year after completing improvement work at its site.
The Knowe Garden Centre, run by Auchinleck CDI, now has an area of tarmac which will allow it to host events and to make its garden easier for wheelchairs, prams and buggies to access.
The work was funded through the Scottish Government’s Adapt and Thrive funding, via the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.
A spokesperson for the centre said: “This will enable us to do more outdoor covid compliant events while maintain social distancing.
“Thanks to John Gibson of Silverbirch for carrying out this enhancement work – we are delighted.”
