Ayrshire Hospice received a special donation from an inspiring young woman over the festive period.
Chloe Coomer, 11, raised £600 for the care centre through organising a Christmas Fayre in memory of her Nana Christine, who was looked after by the hospice’s team until she died recently.
The money raised by Chloe and those who attended her event will be used to help care for other individuals at the hospice who have life-limiting illnesses.
The hospice runs purely on donations and fundraising efforts. It costs £7.4million per year to run all of the hospice’s services – the equivalent of more than £20,000 each day.
Chloe’s mum Dawn, Christine’s daughter, said: “This is our daughter Chloe we are extremely proud of her and very grateful to all the care given to our mum from the hospice. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
An Ayrshire Hospice spokesperson said: “Thank you so much to Chloe Coomer, age 11, who raised an incredible £600 for the Hospice!”
Well done, Chloe!
