The Cumnock and District Round Table have advised residents that if they want to know when Santa will be visiting, they should check Facebook as they’ll only publish the destination on the day of his visit.

They said that Santa and his elves did not want to confirm in advance in case absences meant they then had to cancel.

Dane Love, from the Round Table, said: “The Elves from Cumnock and District Round Table that help Santa to tour the local villages cannot confirm in advance where and when they’ll be visiting. The best way to find out where he will be is to follow Cumnock and DIstrict Round Table’s facebook page, where confirmation of that night’s location will be placed. As all of the Elves are local Tablers, who have jobs to do during the day, sometimes there aren’t enough to help out, and they would rather not disappoint that way.”

After last year’s physically distanced sleigh ride, the Round Table confirmed this year Santa will be able to distribute goodies again.

“The elves are pleased to say that they’ll be giving out sweets to the children again this year, and if you wish to contribute something towards the Table’s charity, then you can put something in the collection cans.

“Alternatively, donations can be made using the JustGiving page, which can be found in the facebook posts. In total, Santa and his elves visit around eight local villages, so it’s a busy time.”
