The Knowe Garden Centre in Auchinleck had a busy day greeting visitors from Coalfields Community Landscape Partnership last week.
Peter Livingston and Stewart of the Coalfields to Wildwoods project delivered a workshop on preparing and sowing seeds to grow native species trees - mainly birch and hazel - gathered at Knockshinnoch and Pennyvenie.
The Centre is doing their bit to grow trees for planting out later to reinstate the local coalfields. Colin from the Partnership also visited the team who all enjoyed the day.
