On a windy and cold Friday night, the annual Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Christmas Lights switch on took place in the Kirkconnel Miners Memorial Centre.
On the night in question, November 26, celebrated Gala Queen, Gabriele Finlay, had the fantastic job of doing the honours and switching on the Christmas Lights outside the Miners Memorial centre.
Inside, there were different stalls for those looking for the perfect gift and entertainment was provided by Sanquhar Silver Band and Upper Nithsdale Youth Pipe Band.
There was also a funfair outside for all the children and Santa and his helpers even made a special appearance which brought a lot of smiles to the kids’ faces.
