A search is on to find the Ayrshire family of a Glasgow man who died earlier this month.

James Cooper, 81, died on November 7, at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

His home address was in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.

Police are now looking to trace members of his family.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone who has knowledge of James’ relatives, some of which are believed to reside in the Ayrshire area, is asked to contact the Administration Department at London Road Police Office via 101 during office hours Monday to Friday or email GreaterGlasgowDASU@scotland.pnn.police.uk."
