Located on Paisley Road West, Jist Misto has an average rating of five stars on Tripadvisor. 

Of 474 reviews, 399 were excellent and 49 were very good. 

One five star review read:  "The food was amazing I had the haggis and black pudding bonbon - so good - and then had the fish and chips, the fish was the size of a whale and was fresh! One of the best feeds I've had in a long time! Defo coming back again."

Another said: "Just had the best steak salad and fish and chips to take away - as always the food is fantastic thanks guys."

The Pipers' Tryst Restaurant

Situated on McPhater Street, The Pipers' Tryst Restaurant has an average Tripadvisor rating of 4.5 stars. 

198 reviews rate it excellent while 78 deemed it very good. 

One five star review read: "From the moment we arrived we were given good service. Pleasant staff, offering advice. We both opted for fish and chips which were delicious. Nice sized helping. We both then followed up with clothier dumpling and whisky ice cream.....mmm lush."

One five star review said: "Brilliant food! I was in last week with a friend for a well-deserved catch up, the service was brilliant and the food was just as good. I had the goats cheese salad as a starter and then the fish and chips! Couldn't fault it- thanks guys!"

One five star review read: "Amazing seafood. Had a fabulous dinner : great service, very fresh and exceptionally well cooked seafood (we had tempura squid, crab cakes, fish & chips and monkfish scampi) and a really nice atmosphere on a busy Sunday evening. Will definitely be back, although definitely book in advance to guarantee a table - even on a Sunday night the place was packed!"

One five star review read: "My friend had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it, it has to be said that the food is consistently of a high standard and very reasonably priced. You can’t ask for more than that, would highly recommend to anyone."

One five star review said: "Myself and a couple of mates were out and about for a few beers and dropped in to this lovely restaurant. Personally I`m a bit boring when it comes to food and prefer the more traditional dishes, so I tried the fish & chips and wow it was done in a lovely batter and it`s by far the best fish & chips I have ever tasted, the chips too were excellent!"

One five star review said: "We noticed a two course lunch menu for £10.95 so thought to give that a try for our first visit. I had the soup and the chicken. My husband had the pate and the fish & chips. It was much better than expected. Normally the portions are smaller on a set menu but this was still all full size and very very tasty and well presented. What a bargain!!"
