Ochiltree Community Hub has won the Scottish Civic Trust My Place Awards 2021 – a national celebration of community-led built environment projects.
The Hub was recognised for its heroic efforts in building a new community centre after the council closed the existing one. It now delivers critical social, health and wellbeing services.
Kirsty Fowler-Waugh, hub manager, said: “It was wonderful to attend the exhibition in Glasgow and see the fantastic projects that were nominated.
“Winning has been truly fantastic, gaining recognition of the community’s spirit and passion to work together to deliver a vibrant sustainable multipurpose building.”
