Nithsdale Wanderers manager Dougie Taylor says brothers Sean and Cameron McKenzie are destined to play at a higher level as they both netted during Wanderers 7-0 win over Mid Annandale at the weekend.

Sean opened the scoring in the first half of the South of the Scotland Football League match, netting a penalty.

He then completed his hattrick in the second half.

However, not to be outdone brother Cameron also got in on the act and bagged four goals in the rout.

Speaking to the Chronicle. Taylor said: “A lot of people think there is competition between the two of them but they actually link up with each other.

“They are in sync every single game and the way they play has really came into fruition of late.

“In my opinion the two of them can go right to the very top and should be playing at a higher level. We have actually had interest from top West of Scotland Football League sides in them recently.

“But they are local lads and they are happy to stay at the club at the present.

“In terms of the result, to say the game plan went to perfection would be an understatement.”
