Auchinleck Talbot manager Tommy Sloan says Bot must learn to pick up results regardless of performances as they beat Hurlford 1-0 at the weekend .

An own goal in the second half from Lewis Magee gave Auchinleck the three points at Beechwood Park.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Sloan said:”Picking up points is what it is about. It is three points for every game and you do not get extra points for beating the top sides.

“It does not matter who you are playing against, you have got to try and pick up the points whichever way you can.

“We would all like to play really well every week but unfortunately it cannot be done.”

Next up for Talbot is another tough league match as they take on Darvel tonight before they host Forth Wanderers in the South Challenge Cup at the weekend.

Sloan says he is expecting yet another tricky week.

He said:”It is a big week this week with Darvel and then the cup at the weekend.

“ Darvel is next and it is well documented that they have a loads of good players signed from the seniors, so we know we are in for a tough game against them. “
