Ayrshire Hospice has launched its ‘Make a Will Fortnight’ campaign, giving residents the chance to update or change their will in exchange for a donation to the hospice.
The fortnight will run from Monday, October 18 until Friday, October 29.
It is in attempt to ensure that people are looking after their family.
Kathryn Howell, senior fundraising officer at Ayrshire Hospice, said: “Thank you to all the participating solicitors who are giving their time and expertise free of charge to support our Make a Will Fortnight.”
“The first Make a Will Fortnight was held in 2011 and, so far, it has raised an amazing £215,000 for Ayrshire Hospice. Over 30 solicitors across Ayrshire and Arran take part, preparing and updating wills during the two-week campaign.
“If the time is ever right for you to remember a charity in your Will, please remember Ayrshire Hospice.
“Every gift in every will, regardless of size, makes a difference to the exceptional and compassionate care that we provide to patients and their families today and in the future. You can leave us a gift of even 1 per cent in your will so those closest to you inherit 99 per cent.”
