Local MP Allan Dorans is reported to be in hospital recovering from a serious bout of Covid-19.
The 66-year-old SNP politician for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock is said to have come down seriously unwell with the virus, but is now recovering in Ayr Hospital.
Allan Doran's Westminster and constituency offices have been contacted for comment.
In the meantime, wellwishes have been pouring in from the political sphere.
The SNP leader at Westminster, Ian Blackford, said: "The thoughts and best wishes of everyone in the SNP are with Allan Dorans and his family as he recovers from Covid.
"Our thanks too are with the excellent NHS Scotland staff who are doing such a brilliant job of looking after him."
Labour MSP for South Scotland, Carol Mochan wished Allan a speedy recovery.

And others in his own party were keen to send their best too. Siobhian Brown, the Ayr MSP wished him well.
