Work is continuing on the site of the new Netherthird Primary School.
The year-long work officially got under way last month and it is expected to last until the start of September 2022.
Diggers and workers have now mapped out the area where the building will be located, with preparation work for the structure ongoing.
Work has commenced four years after plans for the school were initially put forward. At that time. it was decided that Netherthird Primary School, currently on Craigens Road, would not be part of the new Barony Campus in Cumnock, which was officially opened earlier in the year.
The new primary school will sit alongside the Netherthird Early Childhood Centre.
