S6 PUPILS at Doon Academy organised a special Go Purple Day last week in aid of Ayrshire Hospice.
On Friday, September 3, students Courtney Taylor and Candice Dempster arranged a dress down day – purple themed – and other activities including ‘Guess the Bear’s Birthday’ and selling sweeties at break and lunch. The girls also ran a short virtual assembly during registration.
The raffle will be drawn later this week but there is still time to guess the teddy’s birthday.
Mrs Hair, who people should contact for more details, said: “Huge thank you to everyone who has supported the event and helped raise money for a fantastic cause.”
