Cumnock assistant manager Mark Cameron says he thought both spot kicks were generous decisions by the referee in their 3-2 loss to Auchinleck Talbot.

The Nock were already one nil up when they were awarded their penalty, with the referee judging Jamie Glasgow to have handled the ball in the box.

Bot got one of their own in the second half to equalise at 2-1 down when Dwayne Hyslop looked to have been fouled in the box.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Cameron said: “I think both penalties are soft if you ask me.

“The referee has probably evened things up by giving the second penalty because I think ours was soft as well.”

Next up for the Nock is an away trip to Recreation Park to take on Darvel in league action.

Cameron says the players cannot afford to sulk for too long ahead of another tough test, adding: “It is football and a derby game, obviously you tell the players it is what it is.

“It should not be hard to pick them up after the result as next up are Darvel, so they do not come any bigger.

“We have got a couple of players due to return, at least two should be back on the bench.”
