Tanyard Muirkirk Group is asking for the help of the public and get a PCR test if they ask you to.

The health centre has been struggling with staff shortages recently due to self-isolation.

Due to these issues, they are asking anyone attending the centre to get a PCR test for covid if you are asked to.

They say this is because Lateral Flow Tests are designed for asymptomatic patients only.

It is being asked that if you have any of the main symptoms (high temperature, new continuous cough, loss of taste/smell) that you are tested via a PCR test instead of a Lateral Flow Test.

If you or your child are showing viral symptoms and have not had a PCR test, you will be seen in a segragated room from now on, with only one clinician being in attendance.

If you are unwell with a negative PCR result, any clinician can see you in a regular appointment slot and this will aim to help use the right clinician at the right time, in the right place.

They are also asking for some patience with answering phone lines and having to cancel pre-booked surgeries.

More information can be found on their Facebook page or website.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP YOU! Dear patients, You will be aware of rising covid cases in the community and the impact...
