Cumnock manager Tony McInally says he will treat their derby match up against Auchinleck Talbot as regular business.
The Nock were due to be playing last weekend, however their game against Benburb was postponed on Saturday due to problems at the clubhouse at New Tinto Park. Despite not playing at the weekend, there was still some activity at the club as they found out their opponents for the First Round of the Scottish Cup, Formartine United.
Speaking to the Chronicle, McInally said: “We will do our homework to find out as much as we can about them. I am sure they will be a good side and we will look forward to going up there when it is the next game.”
Before that fixture they have an upcoming derby in the league this weekend up against Talbot.
And McInally is sure that both sets of fans will be excited for the game’s long awaited return, but added: “I have played against Auchinleck often enough over the years as manager at Shotts and Pollok, so to me it is just another game.
“The derby element really is for the fans...and I’m sure both sets of supporters are very excited about the game being back.”
