Auchinleck Talbot Manager Tommy Sloan applauded the return of midfielder Dwyane Hyslop as he scored a double in their 3-1 Scottish Junior Cup First Round win over Montrose Roselea.

Hyslop has been on a fine form since returning into the first team fold at the Bot and picked up an assist in the 1-1 draw with Beith midweek.

He scored a double in the first half against Montrose Roselea at the weekend, which alongside Keir Samson’s strike, ensured the Bot eased into the second round of the Scottish Junior Cup.

Talbot will face Carluke Rovers away from home at the John Cumming Stadium in the second round of the competition next month as they look to retain the cup.

Speaking to the Chronicle, Sloan said: “Hyslop has only came back into things over the last two or three matches and the weekend was his first start. There is a bit to come from him yet, so we are trying to bring him back gradually.

“But I am pleased he is back on the goal trail, he has been a tremendous player for us over the years and hopefully that will be the case again this season.”
