Coalfield Communities Landscape Partnership enjoyed a successful launch day in Dalmellington on July 9.
The Partnership is delivering 22 projects over the next four and half years to connect communities with the landscape and heritage of the former coalfield area.
The launch day showcased some of the projects and partnerships they are forging with external organisations to deliver a more collaborative approach to a greener, safer and sustainable future.
Activities were held at Dunaskin, Dalmellington Community Centre and at Loch Doon with over 100 visitors across the three locations.
The Conservation Volunteers team highlighted “the enthusiasm from the children when they started to identify cuckoo spit and the care they took with the insects they handled.”
